safety

As consumers and owners of automobiles, we often take the time to perform preventive maintenance on our vehicles. We do this because we care for our safety and the safety of our loved ones. The question then is, when was the last time you gave your home a Safety Check?

Like most homeowners, your home is considered a major asset. Does your family spend a considerable amount of time at home? If so, a home safety check is a must.

Consider the following questions and determine if you can answer yes to any

:: Do you read and follow manufacturers instructions?

:: Do you currently have working smoke detectors on each level of your home, within each bedroom, basement and garage?

:: Do you test and replace batteries at least once a year?

:: Do you have a fully charged fire extinguisher in the kitchen, garage and workshop?

:: Have you established a fire escape plan for the family?

:: Are fossil fuel burning appliances inspected at least once a year?

:: Have you installed a carbon monoxide detector outside sleeping areas?

:: Are Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) outlets installed in the kitchen, garage, laundry rooms and outdoors?

:: Have you checked the electrical cords on all your appliances and extension cords?

:: Are you blowing fuses or tripping breakers on a regular basis?

While conducting home inspections, Property Inspection Specialist inspectors are trained to seek and indentify potential safety hazards. We offer complete home safety inspections. If you answered no to any of the questions, you may want to consider a home safety inspection. Give us a call to schedule a safety inspection for your home today.
